Depending on the ESi school, children can start skiing from the age of 2 and a half.

In the ski kindergarten or on suitable slopes, instructors use games to introduce the youngest children to skiing. Children thus learn their first technical moves while having fun.

Bring ski clothing, a helmet and skis with suitable ski boots, but no poles. Add goggles or sunglasses, sunscreen and a few tissues. Finally, slip a snack into your child's pocket.

If the ski kindergarten is located in the resort, your child does not need a ski pass to ski there. When they are ready to leave the ski kindergarten, the instructor will let you know the day before. You can then buy a ski pass for the remaining days of lessons.

Reassure your child, then hand them over to the instructor at the meeting point. Instructors are used to welcoming the youngest children, even when separation is difficult. A brief goodbye often helps them join the group. Then move away out of their sight and wait until the end of the lesson to pick them up.
