What new features will the Swiss ski resorts have during the winter of 2026-2027?
New lifts, modernised reception facilities and transport services bring several changes for your next holiday. In Verbier and Nendaz, two major projects are due to open in December 2026. At La Dôle, a new reception building is part of the preparations for the season. In addition, Magic Pass holders benefit from a new public transport service. Here are the verified announcements for Nendaz, Verbier, Anzère, La Dôle, Morgins, Grimentz and Champéry.
Information verified on October 2, 2026. The projected schedules may change depending on work, permits, and weather conditions.
The new Les Chottes–La Meina–Greppon Blanc chairlift is a major development in the ski area accessible from Nendaz.
The operator plans to commission it in December 2026. Work began in September 2025.
This lift will replace three existing lifts: the Chottes and Meina drag lifts and the Greppon Blanc chairlift. It will have six-seater chairs with protective bubbles.
The operator announces a final throughput of 2,600 people per hour.
The project also includes an intermediate station at the current starting point of the Greppon Blanc chairlift.
Thus, less experienced skiers will be able to access only the easier slopes in the lower part of the resort. This option will allow the course to be adapted to the individual level of each skier.
To prepare for your stay, consult the official plans for NV Remontées mécaniques. Then check the actual commissioning before building your program.
Verbier announces the full roll-out of the Esserts–Savoleyres combined lift for December 2026.
The timetable has two stages. The Les Planards–Savoleyres section opened in December 2025.
Winter 2026-2027 should complete the installation with the link from Les Esserts. The project aims to create a connection on skis between Verbier and the Savoleyres–La Tzoumaz sector.
The combined lift has ten-seater cabins and six-seater chairs. The chairs run on the Les Planards–Savoleyres section.
In addition, the stations and cabins offer step-free access. This makes boarding easier for families with pushchairs and people with reduced mobility.
The project includes a run between Carrefour and the Les Esserts bottom station. Its route includes an underpass to cross the Rouge ski lift area.
The route should facilitate travel between the sectors. However, please check the updated map and the difficulty of the route before taking it.
Find the steps of the construction project on the official website of the Verbier combined lift.

At La Dôle, the new feature concerns how visitors arrive in the Jura sur Léman ski area.
The «Le Lapin Blanc» reception building was completed in May 2026. It is located in the Vallée des Dappes, near the bottom stations of the Dappes–Dôle and Dappes–Tuffes chairlifts.
This new facility includes a restaurant and services for visitors. The project also includes a renovated parking lot, with a lane reserved for buses.
These arrangements directly affect the organization of your arrival. They include several services near an access point to the Franco-Swiss domain.
Jura sur Léman announces a tentative opening period from December 5, 2026 to March 21, 2027. Check the actual opening times before your trip.
The 2026-2027 season brings a new service to Magic Pass holders: Magic Travel.
Anzère and Grimentz-Zinal are among the partner destinations. This change concerns access to the stations by public transport, rather than new equipment on the slopes.
From November 1st 2026 to April 30th 2027, Magic Travel offers five free transportation credits.
A one-way trip uses one credit. A same-day return trip also uses one credit.
On the other hand, a return trip on two different dates uses two credits. The offer applies to trips in Switzerland to Magic Pass destinations, subject to availability.
To validate the trip, you must use the lifts with your Magic Pass during your visit.
Without recorded usage, the provider charges the transport ticket at the official rate. Therefore, please check the detailed conditions before booking.
In Anzère, this new service can help you organise your winter travel.
For beginner lessons, also check that the learning areas are open. As of October 2, 2026, the official page is still awaiting information about the Place du Village magic carpet.

Grimentz-Zinal announces weekend openings from November 21, 2026, subject to good snow conditions.
The schedule provides for the daily opening of both sectors from December 18, 2026, to April 11, 2027. These dates constitute seasonal information, rather than a new equipment innovation.

For Morgins and Champéry, the official sources consulted do not yet confirm any specific new feature for winter 2026-2027.
The available information mainly presents the existing offers and preparations for the season. Future communications may clarify any changes to services, activities, or the resort itself.
The Swiss operator announces the official opening of the Portes du Soleil on Saturday, December 19, 2026. However, check local openings and connections before your stay.
This way, you can organise your programme in Morgins or Champéry with the latest information available.
