At the ESI, the Nordic Snow Garden offers the youngest children a space specially adapted to their first learning experiences. There they can discover their equipment, find their bearings and experience their first trips in a safe environment.

A playful and progressive discovery

For children, learning is above all about play and fun. The activities are adapted to their age and help them gradually develop balance, coordination and confidence. Nordic Snow Garden / Nordic Skiing Kindergarten

The goal: to have fun!

For the youngest, learning the Nordic skiing is based above all on discovery and fun rather than performance. The activities are designed to strengthen the child's confidence and make them want to practise. Through simple games and exercises, he gets familiar with his equipment, develops his balance and gradually learns to move on the snow.

The Nordic Snow Garden

A ski learning program designed for little ones

From the age of 2 and a half years, children can begin to explore the world of Nordic skiing. For them, everything is new: discovering the snow, putting on boots, wearing a helmet or clicking into skis. ESI instructors therefore pay special attention to this familiarisation phase so that everyone can find their feet before trying out gliding.

The sessions take into account the attention span and rhythm of toddlers. The activities alternate between games, movement and short moments of sliding, in order to maintain their interest throughout the course. This variety allows them to gradually develop their balance, coordination and their first sensations on the skis.

Play has an important place in this learning method. Small obstacle courses, movements to copy or simple challenges: children try out skiing movements naturally and without pressure. They build their first skills while associating Nordic skiing with the pleasure of playing and discovering.
