The practice of freeriding relies as much on mastering the skis as on the ability to observe the terrain and choose your trajectory. The ESI instructors teach you techniques adapted to powder snow, changes in slope and variations in snow conditions. Les Private freeride courses offer a privileged setting to work on your technique according to your expectations. The instructor adjusts the content of the session, the pace, and the choice of terrains according to your level, your experience and your goals. This formula allows you to target certain aspects of your practice and to receive specific advice throughout the entire course.
With the group freeride lessons, you share the experience with other skiers of a similar level. This set-up makes it easier to progress at the group's pace while adding a friendly dimension to the sessions. The instructor chooses the exercises and routes according to the participants' abilities and the snow conditions.
Freeride is practiced in a natural environment that requires special attention. The instructor will familiarize you with the specificities of off-piste mountain terrain and teach you to observe the terrain, the snow, and the conditions encountered. The selection of sectors and routes is made based on level of the participants and safety conditions.
The courses thus allow you to gradually develop your independence and confidence. You learn to better manage your stance, trajectory and speed in order to fully enjoy the sensations offered by off-piste skiing.
